Great Performance Results From Chess Gaja Tournament – June 2021

Chessgyaan academy hosted an internal academy tournament for its students on June 12, 2021, and we now have the results from the event!

The tournament started at 11 AM IST and was conducted in an arena format for 1 hour, and the time control was 5 minutes + 2 seconds increment for each move.

The event was won by Prahalad, who scored 6 points, and Adhi, who finished 2nd, also scored 6 points, but Prahalad had the better tiebreaks to finish 1st in this arena event! The 3rd place winner in this event was Yuvraj, who scored 4 points.

Our founder GrandMaster and FIDE Trainer Priyadharshan, also played 1 game for fun, and he won his game.

The tournaments are regularly conducted to give our academy students enough game practice and a chance to test their knowledge!

The time control of 5+2 gives the students just enough time to think and make their moves without rushing with their decisions.

Big congratulations to all the participants and the winners for playing some great games.

PS: We have launched a new chess program exclusively for adults, which starts on July-3! If you are an adult and would like to learn chess, check out the details of the program here –
