Adithya finished 4th in the U2100 category at 54TH ANNUAL LIBERTY BELL OPEN

The 54th Annual Liberty Bell Open was held from January 14-17, 2022, in Philadelphia, PA, USA. Adithya Pillai of Chess Gaja participated in the tournament and tested his skills against the brightest players from all across the U.S in the U-2100 category.

Adithya scored a remarkable 5.5 out of 7 points and finished 4th in the final ranking. The highlight of his performance was that he picked up 5 wins and all his wins came against opponents who were about 150+ points higher rated than him.


This was a great result for Adithya as he crossed the 2000 USCF rating points for the first time, as he gained 113 USCF rating points with this strong performance.
