Great Performance in National Elementary Championship (2022)

US Chess Federation conducted the 2022 National Elementary (K-6) Championship in Columbus, Ohio, on May 13 – 15.

Chess Gaja students Neil, Saatvik, Siddharth and Anish participated in this tournament.

Neil participated under K – 6 championship categories and won four matches out of seven, managed to draw one game, and lost two matches against Gurru (1933) and Narayan ( 1961). As a result, his rating point increased from 1722 to 1734.

Anish had four out of seven wins with two draws and two losses against Vihaan ( 1710) and Charles (1373) in this tournament under K – 5 championships.

Saatvik participated under K – 3 (under 1000) category and scored 3.5 out of seven with one draw and three losses against Jack (1015) and Liam (977), and Advik (695).

Siddharth scored 4.5/7 with two losses, one draw, and four wins in this tournament under K – 5 championship.
