US Chess Federation conducted the 12TH ANNUAL BARBER NATL TMT OF MS STATE CHAMPS at Rancho Mirage, California from 30th July to 2nd August 2022.
Chess Gaja student Vaseegaran participated in this tournament representing Kansas.
Vaseegaran tied for third place in the tournament with a score of 4.5 out of 6. He won the first four games , one among which was against a high-rated player, Bach(2401). He managed to draw the 5th game against high-rated player Erick(2374) and lost the last game against Brewington(2335).
His rating point increased from 2165 to 2184.
He also tied for the first place in 3RD ANNUAL WEERAMANTRY NATL TMT OF STATE CHAMPS with a score of 6.5 out of 8. His blitz rating increased from 1923 to 1959.
