Great Performances from Chess Gaja Students in Dallas Winter Open

Texas Chess Center conducted Dallas Winter Open 2022 on Dec 17, 2022, in Carrollton, Texas.

Chess Gaja students Neil, Lohit, Saathvik, Arush, and Arjun participated in this tournament under the open section.

Neil scored 2.5 points out of 4 in the tournament. One of the highlights of his performance was a draw against the higher-rated player Dhruv (rated 1975). This result increased Neil’s rating from 1849 to 1863.

Lohit and Saathvik both had a mediocre tournament with a score of 2 out of 4 points each.

Arush scored 1.5 out of 4 points which increased his rating from 1750 to 1754.

Arjun scored 1 point and won against higher-rated player Kabir (1891), raising his rating from 1565 to 1578.
