Good Performance by Chess Gaja Students in California Chess Tournament

San Diego Chess Club conducted TCC-SDCC Team Match on February 26, 2023, in San Diego, California.

Chess Gaja students Smaran and Sai participated in this tournament.

Smaran participated in the open section and scored 2 out of 2 points. This good performance increased Smaran’s rating from 946 to 965.

Sai scored 1 out of 2 points in the open section. This performance increased his rating from 769 to 807. He also participated in the Extra games section and scored 1 out of 2 points. Notably, he won the game against a higher-rated player Andy(818). This performance increased his rating from 807 to 840.
