Great Performance By Abir in Chicago Tournament

CHICAGO CHESS CENTER NFP INC CLUB conducted the CHICAGO CHESS CENTER 5TH HAYMARKET 2023 Tournament on April 29,30, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois.

2 Chess Gaja students took part in the tournament. In the open section, Abinav scored 2 out of 4 points. He gained 15 rating points, and his rating jumped from 1966 to 1981. In one of his notable games, Abinav achieved a draw against Avi Harrison, who is rated 2303.

In the 1600 section, Abir scored 2 out of 4 points. He gained 39 rating points, and his rating jumped from 1188 to 1227. The two wins for Abir came against higher rated opponents Keshav (1280) and Srikar (1370).
