Smaran’s Good Rating Increase in the San Diego Chess Scene

SAN DIEGO CHESS CLUB conducted the SDCC MEMORIAL DAY SCHOLASTIC Tournament on  May 28, 2023, in San Diego California.

Chess Gaja student, Smaran took part in the tournament.

In the Open section, Smaran scored 2 out of 3 points. He lost to a higher-rated player with a rating of 1543 in one of the rounds. However, his solid performance allowed him to gain 24 rating points, increasing his rating from 1025 to 1049.

Well done Smaran!  we wish you the best of luck in your future chess tournaments.
