Chess Gaja’s Outstanding Performance at The Complete Chess Club’s Tournament

The Complete Chess Club organized the San Antonio City Championship 2023 tournament on June 9-11, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.

Chess Gaja students Vaseegaran and Neil participated in the tournament.

In the Championship section, Vaseegaran scored an impressive 4 out of 5 points. He had a draw against a higher-rated player with a rating of 2577 in one of the rounds, who eventually secured 1st place in the tournament. Vaseegaran’s outstanding performance resulted in a significant gain of 20 rating points and secured his 2nd place overall. His rating improved from 2217 to an impressive 2237.

Neil scored 2 out of 5 points and also had a draw against a higher-rated player with a rating of 2013 in one of the rounds.
