Chess Gaja Students Shine Bright at the 2023 DFW Texas Tournament

The 2023 DFW FIDE 4 tournament was organized by the DALLAS CHESS CLUB on June 23-25, 2023, in Irving, Texas.

Chess Gaja students participated in the tournament.

In the Reserve section, Mahit scored an impressive 4 out of 5 points, securing 3rd place in the tournament. His strong performance led to a remarkable gain of 54 rating points, raising his rating from 1559 to 1613.

Maurya scored 3.5 out of 5 points, showcasing a solid performance that resulted in a modest gain of 2 rating points, raising his rating from 1688 to 1690.

Gurugrahan scored 2.5 out of 4 points, including a draw against a higher-rated player with a rating of 1548. His strong performance led to an impressive gain of 85 rating points, raising his rating from 1330 to 1415.
