Chess Gaja Students’ Good Performance in Texas Summer Championship 2023

Texas Chess Center conducted Texas Summer Championship 2023 on August 5, 2023, in Irving, Texas.

Several Chess Gaja students participated in this tournament.

In the Championship section, Lohit tied for 2nd place with a score of 3 out of 4 points. Notably, he managed to draw one of his games against a higher-rated player Kevin(rated 2085). This good performance increased Lohit’s rating from 2058 to 2063.

In the U1600 section, Shricharan scored 2 out of 4 points. His notable performance was a draw against a higher-rated player Sai(rated 1549). This good performance increased Shricharan’s rating from 1354 to 1364.
