Chess Gaja students Neil and Shriyan shine at Sunday Swiss tournament in Texas

The Texas Chess Center conducted Sunday Swiss in Carrollton, Texas on August 27, 2023. Our Chess Gaja students Neil and Shriyan participated in the tournament under the open section.

Neil played phenomenally well to score 3.5 points out of 4 and ranked 1st in the event.

By this performance, he increased his rating from 1838 to 1861. Neil drew with the high-rated player Brian(1872).

Shriyan scored 3.5 points out of 4 and tied for 1st place. He gained a noteworthy victory against high-rated players Shaurya(1898), and Sanjay(1700) and drew against Rusheel(1760). This good performance increased his rating from 1672 to 1747.

Congratulations to Neil and Shriyan for their exceptional performance! We wish them the best of luck in their future chess tournaments.
