Our Chess Gaja students have once again demonstrated their excellence and showcased their talents in various chess tournaments across the United States. Here is a detailed report of their achievements:

Texas

Aayush  participated in the 2024 Texas FIDE Open held in Irving, TX, from June 28 to June 30, 2024, organized by the Texas Chess Center. Aayush scored 2.5 out of 5 points. His USCF rating increased from 1574 to 1628.

Sanjay also participated in the same tournament and scored 3.5 out of 5 points. His USCF rating increased from 1897 to 1909.

Prathit  participated in The Friday Knights tournament conducted by the Houston Scholastic Chess Association in Spring, TX, on June 28, 2024. Prathit scored 2.5 out of 3 points, securing 1st place in his section. His USCF rating increased significantly from 1293 to 1353.

Pennsylvania

Priyansh  participated in the 17th Philadelphia International held in Philadelphia, PA, from June 27 to July 1, 2024, organized by the Continental Chess Association. Priyansh’s USCF rating increased from 2200 to 2204.

California

Ruhan Yogesh Vichare participated in the Gambito -1059 tournament conducted by the San Diego Chess Club in San Diego, CA, on June 29, 2024. Ruhan scored 2 out of 4 points. His USCF rating decreased slightly from 2047 to 2041.

Nebraska

Gurugrahan Gurumoorthi  participated in the Nebraska Summer Open 2024 held in Elkhorn, NE, from June 29 to June 30, 2024, organized by Chess Rockerz. Gurugrahan scored 3.5 out of 5 points. His USCF rating increased from 1749 to 1821.

Colorado

Viaan Khandelwal  participated in the DCC Thursdays June Dune 2024 held in Denver, CO, from June 6 to June 27, 2024, organized by the Denver Chess Club. Viaan’s USCF rating increased from 972 to 979.He also participated in the Kings of Chess June 29, 2024 tournament conducted by We Play Chess in Aurora, CO, on June 29, 2024. Viaan scored 3 out of 4 points. His USCF rating increased from 979 to 993.
