The Cherry Blossom Classic will be held at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott, located at 45020 Aviation Dr., Dulles, VA 20166.
Sections :
- Open Section (FIDE rated) – Exclusive to 6-day duration.
- Under 2300 Section (FIDE rated) – Available for participation in 5-day, 4-day, or 3-day formats.
- Under 2000 Section (FIDE rated) – Participants have the option to compete in the 5-day, 4-day, or 3-day format.
- Under 1700 Section – Available for participation in the 5-day, 4-day, or 3-day formats.
- Under 1400 Section – Participants can choose to compete in the 5-day, 4-day, or 3-day format.
- Under 1100 Section – Limited to a 2-day duration, specifically scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays.
Prizes :
The Open section has a guaranteed prize fund of $26,000 which has been increased to $28,000 for the 10th edition of the tournament in 2023
