Dallas Chess Club conducted a DFW FIDE 6-Premier chess tournament that took place in Irving, Texas from August 11 to 13, 2023. Numerous students from Chess Gaja participated in this event, showcasing their skills and determination.
In the Premier section, our student Neil (1831) achieved a score of 2 points out of 5 and managed draws against two highly-rated players, Siddharth (1983) and Roman (1904).
Arjun‘s rating saw an increase from 1695 to 1711, and he secured victories against two higher-rated players, Neil (1831), and Jason (1723).
Maurya scored 2.5 out of 5, delivering an outstanding performance that led to a significant rating surge, elevating his rating from 1696 to 1762. He achieved a victory against the high-rated player Tianjun (2009).
In the reserved section, Gurugrahan participated and achieved a substantial rating increase from 1407 to 1516. He secured 3.5 points out of 5 and had a draw against the highly-rated player William (1676).
Shriyan earned 4 points out of 5, putting him in a tie for the 2nd spot. He drew with the highly-rated player Rithul (1713) and enhanced his rating from 1647 to 1676.
Aryan managed a rating gain from 1330 to 1352 and attained a noteworthy victory against a higher-rated player, Ishaan (1646), and also drew with Aaryan (1537).
Sanmita (1543) scored 2 out of 5 points. Notably, she had a draw with the highly-rated player Robert (1665).
