Our Chess Gaja Chess Gaja students have once again demonstrated their excellence and showcased their talents in various chess tournaments across the United States. Here is a detailed report of their achievements:

Texas

Neil participated in the $150,000 Universal Open held in North Richland Hills, TX, from June 20 to June 23, 2024, conducted by the Universal Chess Tour. Neil showcased a strong performance by scoring 4 out of 6 points. His USCF rating increased from 1922 to 1973. Notably, Neil managed to get a draw with Mubbasar, whose rating is 2077.

Saathvik Dasari also participated in the same tournament and scored 4 out of 6 points. His USCF rating increased from 2024 to 2037.

Sanjay Jaishankar scored 4 out of 6 points in the same tournament. His USCF rating increased from 1826 to 1897.

Prathit Tanmay Vora participated in the Friday Knights June 21st tournament conducted by the Houston Scholastic Chess Association in Klein, TX, from June 21 to June 22, 2024. Prathit scored 2.5 out of 3 points, securing 1st place in his section. His USCF rating increased significantly from 1190 to 1293.

Samvir Sethi participated in the Austin Monthly Scholastic – June tournament conducted by the Atlantic Chess Association in Austin, TX, on June 22, 2024. Samvir scored 3.5 out of 5 points. His USCF rating increased from 803 to 918.

Vividh Balasubramanian also participated in the same tournament and scored 3 out of 5 points. His USCF rating adjusted slightly from 1079 to 1076.

California

Ruhan Yogesh Vichare participated in the Gambito -1058 tournament conducted by the San Diego Chess Club in San Diego, CA, on June 22, 2024. Ruhan scored 2 out of 4 points. His USCF rating adjusted from 2051 to 2047.
