Good Performances by Chess Gaja Students in Houston Chess Tournament

The Poison Pawns Chess Club conducted a $3,000 Houston Chess Studio from February 4 – 5 in Houston, Texas.

Several Chess Gaja students participated in this tournament.

Vijay, Neil, and Vishnu participated in this tournament under the championship section.

Vijay scored 3 out of 5 points. He only lost against the winner of the tournament and a higher-rated player Ryo(rated 2456). This good performance increased Vijay’s rating from 1946 to 1955.

Neil scored 3 out of 5 points. Notably, he won one of his games against higher-rated player Luca(1900). This good performance increased Neil’s rating from 1871 to 1890.

Vishnu scored 2.5 out of points. His notable performance was his draw against higher-rated player Greg(1803). This good performance increased Vishnu’s rating from 1699 to 1719.
