Rocks and Rooks Chess Club conducted the 2023 NYOS Scholastic on April 1, 2023, in Austin, Texas.
Chess Gaja student Tharun participated in this tournament under the K-5 U1000 section. Tharun scored 3 out of 5 points. Notably, he won one of his games against a higher-rated player Abinav(883). This good performance increased his rating from 835 to 926.
