The Chess Chicago Open is one of the largest chess tournaments in the United States, attracting top players from around the world. The tournament is held annually in Chicago and features multiple sections based on player rating. The event is organized by the Continental Chess Association and has been taking place since 1964.

Each year, the Chicago Open Tournament offers an opportunity for players to test their skills and vie for coveted titles and prizes. The tournament features various sections based on rating categories, ensuring a fair playing field for participants of different skill levels.

In 2014, our Grandmaster Priyadharshan participated in the Chicago Open 2014 and earned the second-place position in the open section of the tournament.

We highly encourage Chess Gaja students to take part in this major chess tournament in the US circuits this summer.
