The 16th Annual CCA Cleveland Open tournament was organized by the Continental Chess Association on June 9-11, 2023, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Abinav, a Chess Gaja student, participated in the tournament. In the Major section, he achieved a score of 2.5 out of 5 points. One of his notable rounds was a draw against a higher-rated player with a rating of 2300. Abinav’s strong performance resulted in a gain of 31 rating points, raising his rating from 1981 to 2012.
