The 10th Cherry Blossom Classic Tournament is hosted by Capital Area Chess in Dulles, Virginia from May 24-29, 2023.
Chess Gaja student, Adithya took part in the tournament.
Competing in the UNDER 2300 section, Adithya scored an impressive 6 out of 9 points. Although he lost against a higher-rated opponent with a rating of 2259, Notably, his outstanding performance translated into a remarkable rating increase of 41 points, elevating his rating from 2063 to 2104. Adithya’s impressive performance positioned him within the top 15 participants out of a total of 92.
