The Poison Pawns Chess Club organized the June 4th, 2023 Sunday Swiss Tournament in Houston, Texas.
Chess Gaja students Anish and Mihika participated in the tournament.
In the Open section, Anish scored 2.5 out of 3 points. He had a draw against a higher-rated player with a rating of 1910 in one of the rounds. Anish’s strong performance resulted in a gain of 20 rating points, raising his rating from 1704 to 1724.
Mihika scored 1 out of 3 points. She faced defeat against a higher-rated player with a rating of 1850 in one of the rounds.
