The chess refinery conducted the TCR Houston Summer Championship in Houston, Texas on August 19 and 20,2023.
Our Chess Gaja students Anish participated in the tournament under the championship section and Sanmita under the reserve section.
Anish scored 3 points out of 5. He gained a noteworthy victory against a high-rated player Oscar(1835) and drew against Abhinav(1946) This good performance increased his rating from 1729 to 1770.
Sanmita scored 3.5 points out of 5. Notably, she managed to draw one of her games with a high-rated player Sumit(1696) so this increased her rating from 1510 to 1522.
