Continental Chess Association conducted the 55th Annual Atlantic open tournament in Reston, Virginia from August 25th to 27th,2023.
Our Chess Gaja students Vihaan participated in the tournament under the major section and Ansh under the 2100 section.
Vihaan scored 2.5 points out of 5. He managed to win one of his games against a high-rated player Alex(2073) and drew with Thomas(2094), and Nathan(2059), so this extraordinary performance increased his rating from 1951 to 1971.
Ansh scored 1.5 points out of 5. His notable performance was a draw against a highly-rated player Jorge(2009).
