San Diego Chess Club conducted the Gambito 1023 chess tournament in San Diego, California, on August 12th, 2023.
Chess Gaja student Ruhan, participated in the open section of the tournament, achieving a commendable score of 3 points out of 5. Notably, his skillful play led to a remarkable increase in his rating from 1794 to 1810. A highlight of his performance was a notable draw against the highly-rated player Philip, whose rating stands at 1845.
