The Jacksonville Chess Club conducted the 58th Jax City Championship in Jacksonville, Florida on October 21st, 2023.
Our Chess Gaja students Anjana and Vikram participated in the tournament under the U-1000 section.
Anjana played extremely well to score 3 points out of 4 and tied for the 3rd spot in the event. She won her games against the high-rated players Bernice (847), and Nicholas (732). This extraordinary performance increased her provisional rating from 694 to 840 which is around 146 points.
Vikram scored 2 points out of 4. He drew his games against the high-rated players Artsiom (825) and Pradosh (969). This increased his provisional rating from 695 to 728.
