Atlantic Chess Association conducted an Austin monthly September tournament in Austin, Texas from September 24th to 26th,2023.
Our Chess Gaja students Tharun, Ved, and Eshaann participated in different sections.
Tharun competed in the K-3 Championship section and scored 4 out of 5 points, ultimately becoming the champion.
Ved, on the other hand, participated in the K-U300 section and delivered an outstanding performance by scoring a perfect 5 out of 5 points. This remarkable achievement earned him the championship title. Ved’s skillful play led to an increase in his provisional rating, soaring from 505 to an impressive 663, marking a gain of approximately 158 points.
In the K-12 U1000 section, Eshaann scored 3 points out of 5. His most notable victory was against the highly-rated player Arjun, who had a rating of 820. Eshaan’s splendid performance in the tournament resulted in a notable increase in his rating, which climbed from 764 to 833.
