Siblings Shine in the Florida National Chess Day Tournament

The Scholastic Chess Organization conducted the National Chess Day Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida on October 14th,2023.

Our Chess Gaja students Anjana and Vikram participated in the tournament. Anjana participated in the K-12 High school section to score 3 points out of 5. This wonderful performance increased her provisional USCF rating from 608 to 694.

Vikram participated in the K-5 Elementary section and scored 3 points out of 5. His best victories came from the high-rated players Pradosh (1035), and Benjamin (834). By this extraordinary performance, Vikram’s provisional USCF rating surged from 548 to 702.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to them for their outstanding performance! As they continue to progress, we send our best wishes for their upcoming chess endeavors.
