Chronicles of Chess Champions (March 21–27, 2024)

Chess Gaja students showed excellence and showcased their talents in multiple events held in the United States this fortnight (March 21–27, 2024). We have segmented our student performances by state in this blog!

London Chess Tournament

Rishi finished 7th in the Bryant University Championship Tournament conducted by the Ocean State Chess Association on March 23, 2024. In the championship section, Rishi scored 2 out of 4 points and this strong performance increased his USCF rating from 363P18 to 373P22.

Missouri Chess Tournament

The Continental Chess Association conducted 28TH ANNUAL MID-AMERICA OPEN on March 22 – 24 , 2024. Gurugrahan finished 34th by scoring 2 out of 5 points in the Under 2100 Section. This was a good performance by Gurugrahan and his USCF rating at the end of the event was 1683.

Texas Chess Tournament

Tharun finished 5th in the 6th AGCA Scholastic Tournament conducted by the Austin Grandmaster Chess Academy on March 23, 2024. In the 1000–1400 section, Tharun scored 2.5 out of 4 points. This good performance increased his USCF rating from 1133 to 1141.

Oregon Chess Tournament

On March 24, 2024, the Rose City Chess organized the Spring Classic Tournament, which featured a standout performance from our Chess Gaja student, Prahlada, who showcased significant progress during the event, securing a commendable score of 3.5 out of 4 rounds. This strong performance increased his USCF rating by 41 points, from 889 to 930.
