Chronicles of Chess Champions (April 4–10, 2024)

Chess Gaja students showed excellence and showcased their talents in multiple events held in the United States this fortnight (April 4–10, 2024). We have segmented our student performances by state in this blog!

 Louisiana Chess Tournament

Aaruran finished 10th in the April Scholastic Grand Prix Tournament conducted by the Downriver Chess Club of New Orleans on April 6, 2024. In the K–6 section, Aaruran scored 3 out of 4 points. This good performance increased his USCF rating from 409 to 572.

Texas Chess Tournament

Sanjay finished 3rd in the Frisco Swiss  Tournament conducted by the Texas Chess Center on April 7, 2024. In the champ section, Sanjay scored 3 out of 4 points and this strong performance increased his USCF rating from 1811 to 1830.

On April 7, 2024, The Poison Pawns Chess Club organized the $3000 April 2024 Championship, which featured a standout performance from our Chess Gaja student, Anish, who showcased significant progress during the event, securing a commendable score of 2 out of 5 rounds. This strong performance increased his USCF rating by 18 points, from 1755 to 1773.

Maryland Chess Tournament

The US Chess Federation conducted 2024 National High School Championship on April 5 – 7 , 2024. Neil scored 4.5 out of 7 points in the K – 12 Championship Section. This was a good performance by Neil and his USCF rating increased from 2043 to 2059.
