Chronicles of Chess Champions (May 2– 8, 2024)

Chess Gaja students showed excellence and showcased their talents in multiple events held in the United States this fortnight (May 2–8, 2024). We have segmented our student performances by state in this blog!

Texas Chess Tournament

Yugan finished 3rd in SUNDAY SWISS05052024 conducted by the Texas Chess Center, on May 5, 2024. In the Open section, Yugan scored 2 out of 4 points and this strong performance increased his USCF rating from 1435 to 1451.

The Texas Chess Center conducted FRISCO SWISS 05052024 on May 5 , 2024. Shricharan scored 2.5 out of 4 points in the Open Section. This was a good performance by Shricharan and his USCF rating increased from 1532 to 1589.

Vermont Chess Tournament

Vivek won the Chess Team/Stowe Scholastic Chess Tournament conducted by the Stowe Scholastic Chess on May 4, 2024. In the Stowe Chess MSHS6-9 section, Vivek scored 4 out of 4 points and this strong performance increased his USCF rating from 1419 to 1436.

California Chess Tournament

The San Diego Chess Club conducted GAMBITO -1053 on May 4, 2024. Ruhan scored 3.5 out of 4 points in the Open Section. This was a good performance by Ruhan and his USCF rating increased from 1936 to 1960.

Oklahoma Chess Tournament

Aayush won in the Chaturanga IAOK Open 2024 conducted by the  Oklahoma City Chess Club, on May 4, 2024. In the U1600 section, Aayush scored 4 out of 4 points and this strong performance increased his USCF rating from 1457 to 1523.
