The FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship 2025 brings together top corporate teams for an unparalleled test of strategy, collaboration, and mental agility. Who Can Play World Corporate Chess Championship?
Every legally recognized company worldwide is welcome to participate in the FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship 2025. Here’s who’s eligible:
- Teams of 4 players + 1 captain (the captain may also compete).
- Employees, board members (appointed on or after March 1, 2025), and owners holding > 10% equity.
- Companies may enter multiple teams to maximize their chances.
Tournament Format
Stage 1: Online Qualifiers
- Dates: October 11–12 on Lichess.org
- Format: Rapid Team Swiss, 7 rounds at 10 + 3 time control
- Qualification: Top-scoring team from each company advances to knockouts
Stage 2: Online Knockout
- Date: October 18 on Lichess.org
- Format: Two-match duels (10 + 3), with sudden-death tie-breaks
- Advancement: 8 winners proceed to the Goa finals
Stage 3: Goa Finals
- Dates: November 14–16 in Goa, India
- Structure: 8 knockout winners + invited/wildcard teams (up to 16) compete in a group stage, followed by semifinals and the grand final
