Continental Chess Association conducted the 26th Annual Eastern Chess Congress from October 28-30, 2022 in Princeton, New Jersey.
Chess Gaja students Ansh and Siddharth participated in this tournament under the U2100 section and U1700 respectively.
Ansh scored 2 out of 5 points with 1 win, 2 losses, and 2 draws. Notably, he won one of his games against a high-rated player Aaron(1806), and managed to draw two of his against high-rated players Gavin(1833) and Patrick(1844).
This good performance increased Ansh’s rating from 1726 to 1734.
Siddharth finished 2nd in the tournament with a score of 4 out of 5 with 2 draws and 3 wins. This great performance helped him maintain a rating point of 1687.
