Dallas Chess Club conducted 2023 DFW FIDE 1 from February 24 – 36, 2023 in Irving, Texas.
Several Chess Gaja students participated in this tournament.
Neil participated in this tournament under the premier section and scored 3 out of 5 points.
In the Reserve section, Shriyan, Gurugrahan, and Aaryan participated. Shriyan scored 3.5 out of 5 points. This performance increased his rating from 1642 to 1647.
Gurugrahan scored 3 out of 5 points. His notable performance was his win against a higher-rated player Mahit(1616). This good performance increased Gurugrahan’s rating from 1321 to 1358.
Aaryan scored 1.5 out of 5 points. Notably, he managed to draw against a higher-rated player Jerome(rated 1429).
