The 2023 DFW FIDE 3 Tournament, organized by the DALLAS CHESS CLUB, was held in Irving, Texas, from May 5-7, 2023
Several Chess Gaja Texas students took part in this tournament.
In the premier section, Vaseegaran played 3 games and scored 3 out of 5 points and his performance increased his rating from 2188 to 2197.
Vijay scored 3 out of 5 points. He won one game and drew the remaining games to have a solid performance.
Arush scored 3 out of 5 points, he lost 2 rounds against higher-rated players who ended up finishing 1st and 2nd in the tournament. Arush gained a rating of 58 points and his excellent performance increased his rating from 1769 to 1827.
Neil scored 1.5 out of 5 points. We are confident that Neil will have big success in the upcoming tournaments.
In the reserve section, Shriyan scored 3 out of 5 points. He won 2 games, lost 1, and had to take 2 byes in the tournament.
Aarush scored 2.5 out of 5 points, he lost 2 rounds against higher-rated players. He gained a rating of 7 points and his performance increased his rating from 1334 to1341.
Gurugrahan and Aryan scored 2 out of 5 points. Aryan gained a rating of 22 points, and his performance increased his rating from 1141 to 1163.
