Vaseegaran from Texas, USA recently competed in two chess tournaments on May 7 and May 8, 2023, namely the 2023 DFW FIDE 3 (TX) and SUNDAY SWISS 05072023 (TX) events. He won three games at the 2023 DFW FIDE 3 (TX) tournament and won all four games at the SUNDAY SWISS 05072023 (TX) tournament, resulting in a perfect record of 7 wins out of 7 games.
This outstanding performance increased his rating from 2188 to 2201 and earned him the title of National Master.
Vaseegaran joined our Chess Gaja Academy on October 2021, when he had a USCF rating of 2027. His dedication and hard work combined with personalized one-on-one training by GM Priyadharshan and the team of coaches in Chess Gaja have helped him achieve the National Master title in just 1.5 years’ time.
