San Diego Chess Club conducted Vincent Broman Open from July 5-August 2, 2023.
Chess Gaja students Priyansh and Vedant participated in this tournament under the open section.
Priyansh tied for 1st place in this tournament with a score of 4 out of 5 points. His notable performance was a draw against a higher-rated player Carlos(2153). This great performance increased his rating from 2111 to 2134.
Vedant tied for 2nd place with a score of 3.5 out of 5 points. Notably, he managed to draw one of his games against a higher-rated player Andrew(2107). This good performance increased his rating from 2053 to 2057.
