The San Diego chess club conducted SDCC September scholastic Quads tournament on September 24th, 2023, in San Diego, California.
Our Chess Gaja student Smaran competed in the Group 2 section of the tournament, achieving 1.5 points out of 3 and securing the 2nd position. Notably, he secured a victory against the higher-rated player Arthur (1035), resulting in an impressive rating increase from 1023 to 1026.
