Blakeman Chess conducted the 2023 Texas North Scholastic Grade Championship from October 20, 2023, to October 22, 2023, in Houston, Texas.
Several Chess Gaja students participated in this tournament.
In the 9th grade section, Vaseegaran finished 1st with a score of 5 out of 6 points.
In the 8th grade section, Neil tied for 1st place with a score of 5 out of 6 points. His notable performance was his win against a higher-rated player Rusheel(1855). Chess Gaja student Mihika tied for 2nd place with a score of 4 out of 6 points.
In the 6th grade section, Shriyan tied for 2nd place with a score of 4.5 out of 6 points, and Anish tied for 3rd place with a score of 4 out of 6 points.
In the 4th grade section, Aryan finished 3rd with a score of 4.5 out of 6 points.
In the 3rd grade section, Gurugrahan tied for 2nd place with a score of 5 out of 6 points. After the tournament, Gurugrahan had an opportunity to play with a GrandMaster in a simul where he won against a GrandMaster
In the 2nd grade section, Tharun tied for 2nd place with a score of 4 out of 6 points.
