The Texas Chess Center conducted the Plano Swiss Tournament in Plano, Texas on October 14th, 2023.
Our Chess Gaja students Sanjay, Arjun, and Akshay participated in the open section of the event.
Sanjay played extremely well by scoring 3.5 points out of 4 and became the champion of the event. He managed to win a game against the high-rated player Lohit (2011) and drew with Faris (1835). This strong performance led to an impressive gain of 92 Rating points increasing his rating from 1730 to 1822.
Arjun scored 2.5 points out of 4. His impressive performance was a win against a highly rated player Faris (2000). This remarkable performance resulted in an increase in Arjun’s rating from 1653 to 1709 which is nearly 50+ points.
Akshay scored 1.5 points out of 4. His noteworthy performance includes a victory over a highly rated player Lohit (2011) and drew his games against Tanish (1616), so by this excellent performance he increased his rating from 1506 to 1528.
