The Texas chess center conducted a Sunday Swiss tournament in Carrollton, Texas on October 10th, 2023.
Our Chess Gaja students Ozayr and Gurugrahan participated in the tournament under open section.
Ozayr scored 3 points out of 4 and gained 3rd spot in the event. He won one of his games against a high rated player Farshad (1604). This extraordinary performance increased his rating from 1347 to 1412 which is around 65 points.
Gurugrahan scored 2 points out of 4. His victories were against Cooper (1522) and Chengkai(1239).
