On October 1st, 2023, the Texas Chess Center organized Sunday Swiss tournament in Carrollton, Texas.
Chess Gaja students Neil, Gurugrahan, Ozayr participated in the event under open section, showcasing remarkable skills.
Neil scored 3 out of 4 points and secured 2nd spot in the event. He won his games against Cooper (1539) and Lian (1240) and drew 2 of his games with Louis (1855), Gurugrahan (1567).
Gurugrahan scored 3 points out of 4 and tied for the 2nd spot, he won his games against the players Yugan (1266), Ozayr (1323), Mateo (1194). This skillful play led to increase his rating from 1567 to 1582.
Ozayr scored 1.5 points out of 4. He drew one of his games with a high rated player Ellery (1682), this performance increased his rating from 1323 to 1347.
