Chess Gaja students demonstrated excellence and showcased their talents in multiple events held in the United States last week (January 25–31, 2024). Below is a list of events along with their results.

WESTFIELD OCTOS

The WESTFIELD CHESS CLUB hosted the WESTFIELD OCTOS on January 28, 2024, in Westfield, where an impressive performance from our Chess Gaja student was witnessed. Kevin  demonstrated progress by winning 2.5 out of 4 rounds and increasing his rating from 1477 to 1486

2024 TCA REGION III CHAMPIONSHIPS

On January 27, 2024, the BLAKEMAN CHESS  hosted the 2024 TCA REGION III CHAMPIONSHIPS in Lewisville,  where impressive performances from our Chess Gaja students were witnessed. Sanjay demonstrated notable progress by increasing his rating from 1740 to 1743.He won 4 out of 5 rounds and won the championship.Akshay showcased his progress by winning 4.5 out of 5 rounds.By doing so, he increased his rating from 1444 to 1503 and won the championship.

2024 ACC WINTER OPEN 

The AUSTIN CHESS CLUB,, hosted by the 2024 ACC WINTER OPEN  in Austin, showcased remarkable performances, particularly from our Chess Gaja students. Neil demonstrated impressive progress.He achieved a score of 3 out of 5 rounds, elevating his rating from 1957 to 1973.Shriyan increased his rating from 1822 to 1826

PLANO SWISS 012724

On January 27, 2024, the TEXAS CHESS CENTER organized PLANO SWISS 012724 in Plano, featured a standout performance from our Chess Gaja student, Maurya, who showcased significant progress during the event, securing a commendable score of 2 out of 4 rounds and increasing his rating from 1712 to 1719.

CHITTENDEN MONTHLY QUADS 2

On January 27, 2024,VERMONT CHESS ASSOCIATION hosted the CHITTENDEN MONTHLY QUADS 2 in South Burlington, where our Chess Gaja student, Vivek, delivered an impressive performance. He showcased notable progress throughout the event by increasing his rating from 1299 to 1313 and won 2.5 out of 3 rounds.

3RD COASTAL VIRGINIA OPEN

The 3RD COASTAL VIRGINIA OPEN, hosted by the HAMPTON ROAD CHESS ASSOC in Virginia on 27,28 January,2024, highlighted a remarkable performance from our Chess Gaja student,Nithish. Throughout the event, Nithish  demonstrated noteworthy progress, securing a solid score of 4 out of 5 rounds and increased his rating from 520 to 643.

SDCC JANUARY 2024 SCHOLASTIC GAMES

The SDCC JANUARY 2024 SCHOLASTIC GAMES  hosted by the San Diego Chess Club from 14-28  January,2024, highlighted a remarkable performance from our Chess Gaja student Smaran. Throughout the event, Smaran demonstrated noteworthy progress, securing a solid score of 6.5 out of 8 rounds and increased his rating from 1171 to 1271.He won with hhigher-rated playerHiro(1265).
