Chess Gaja students showed excellence and showcased their talents in multiple events held in the United States this fortnight (February 29 to March 6, 2024). We have segmented our student performances by state in this blog!
Texas Chess Tournaments
The Texas Chess Center conducted Frisco Swiss on March 2, 2024. Several Chess Gaja students participated in the tournaments.
In the open section, Rishi scored 2 out of 4 points. This was a solid performance by Ruhan and his USCF rating at the end of the event was 1738. Sanjay and Akshay scored 2 out of 4 points.
California Chess Tournament
The Continental Chess Association conducted the 31st WESTERN CLASS CHAMP on March 1–3, 2024. Ruhan finished 25th by scoring 2.5 out of 4 points in the Expert Section. This good performance increased his USCF rating from 1929 to 1935.
Oregon Chess Tournament
Prahlada finished 2nd in the Roshen Chess Academy Tournament conducted on March 2, 2024. In the B section, Rishi scored 3 out of 4 points. This good performance increased his USCF rating from 798 to 889.
Indianapolis Chess Tournament
Abinav finished 11th in the 2024 INDIANA CHESS CONGRESS Tournament conducted on March 1–3, 2024. In the State Open-Merged section, Abhinav scored 2.5 out of 5 points. This good performance increased his USCF rating from 2013 to 2028.
Ohio Chess Tournament
Varun finished 2nd in the GCSCL #4 ROCKY RIVER Tournament conducted by Progress with Chess. On March 2, 2024,. In the Champion section, Varun scored 3 out of 4 points and this strong performance increased his USCF rating from 1999 to 2023.
