Chronicles of Chess Champions (June 5-12, 2024)

Our Chess Gaja students have once again demonstrated their excellence and showcased their talents in various chess tournaments across the United States. Here is a detailed report of their achievements by state:

Nevada

Neil  showcased a strong performance by scoring 4 out of 5 points in the 2024 NATIONAL OPEN (NV)2: U2300 conducted by Vegas Chess Festivals in Las Vegas, NV, from June 5 to June 9, 2024. His USCF rating increased from 1943 to 1947. Vaseegaran  participated in the same tournament and his USCF rating adjusted from 2261 to 2244.

Texas

Advaith  performed excellently by scoring 3 out of 4 points in the 3RD ANNUAL GOLDEN OPEN (TX)3: BEGINNER conducted by Blakeman Chess in Lewisville, TX, from June 7 to June 9, 2024. His USCF rating increased from 525 to 539. Saathvik  showcased a strong performance by scoring 4.5 out of 7 points in the same tournament and his USCF rating increased from 2000 to 2018.

Anish  scored 4 out of 5 points in the $2,000 JUNE CHAMPIONSHIP (TX)1: CHAMPIONSHIP 1800+ conducted by The Poison Pawns Chess Club in Houston, TX, from June 7 to June 9, 2024. His USCF rating increased from 1747 to 1789.

Prathit  scored 2.5 out of 3 points in THE FRIDAY KNIGHTS (TX)3: C conducted by the Houston Scholastic Chess Association in Spring, TX, on June 7, 2024, securing 1st place in his section. His USCF rating increased from 1153 to 1190.

Sanjay  scored 2.5 out of 4 points in the PLANO SATURDAY SWISS – 06-08-2024 (TX)1: OPEN conducted by TEXAS CHESS CENTER in Plano, TX, on June 8, 2024. His USCF rating adjusted slightly from 1827 to 1826.

North Carolina

Vihaan  participated in the 2024 CAROLINAS CLASSIC (NC)1: CHAMPIONSHIP conducted by Charlotte Chess Center in Charlotte, NC, from June 7 to June 9, 2024. His USCF rating adjusted from 2020 to 2009.
