Our Chess Gaja students are back with more stellar performances, proving that dedication and strategy lead to victory! Here’s a recap of their achievements in recent tournaments across the U.S.

Irving, Texas

Yugan took on the competition at the Irving Sunday Swiss 110324 on November 3, organized by the Texas Chess Center. Starting with a USCF rating of 1449, Yugan played outstandingly, scoring 3.5 out of 4 and securing 1st place. His impressive play increased his rating to 1485, demonstrating his continuous upward momentum in the chess world.

Plano, Texas

Shricharan participated in the Frisco Swiss 11/03/24 tournament, also organized by the Texas Chess Center. With a starting rating of 1567, Shricharan fought hard and finished with 2.5 out of 4, raising his rating to 1577. His consistent performance speaks to his strategic expertise and growth as a chess player.

Anhad participated in the Georgia Chess G45 Quad on November 3, organized by Georgia Chess Club. He started with a rating of 673 and ended the event with an impressive score of 2 out of 3, landing 3rd place. His skillful moves elevated his rating to 791, reflecting his quick ascent in competitive chess.

Ammar showcased his abilities at the Milpitas Kids Quads (BAC 2937) on November 2, organized by Bay Area Chess. Ammar played an exceptional tournament with a perfect score of 3 out of 3, winning 1st place. His rating climbed from 814 to 853, a testament to his dedication and talent.

Shyam competed in the 2024 Murfreesboro Tal Celebration on November 2, organized by Murfreesboro Chess Club. He entered the tournament with a rating of 779 and scored 2 out of 4, raising his rating to 791. Shyam’s steady progress highlights his skill and resilience.
