Gurugrahan competed in the 2nd Hall of Fame Memorial on December 28, 2024, organized by the SW Suburban Omaha Chess Association. Entering the tournament with a USCF rating of 1878, Gurugrahan played brilliantly, achieving a perfect score of 4 out of 4 and claiming 1st place. His outstanding performance earned him a rating boost to 1908, cementing his reputation as a formidable contender.
Las Vegas, Nevada
Vihaan participated in the prestigious 34th North American Open from December 26 to December 30, 2024, organized by the Continental Chess Association. Starting with a USCF rating of 2023, Vihaan displayed remarkable skill and perseverance, scoring 4.5 out of 7 in a highly competitive field. His efforts were rewarded with a new rating of 2052, showcasing his dedication and consistency at the highest levels of chess.
