Three children appear in separate circles under the heading "Chronicles of Chess Champions" with event dates May 08 to May 14, 2025, and a trophy graphic on a chess-themed background.

Our Chess Gaja students continue to impress with their determination and brilliant chess play in top-tier tournaments across the country. Let’s celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our young stars from this past week!

Orlando, Florida

One of the largest and most prestigious scholastic tournaments in the country, SuperNationals VIII, organized by the US Chess Federation, brought together top talent—and our Chess Gaja students shone brightly!

  • Patrick, starting with a USCF rating of 790, delivered an impressive performance, scoring 4.5 out of 7 and raising his rating to 896. A commendable effort at a national-level competition!
  • Tanav, with a beginning rating of 1554, fought through a tough field to score 4 out of 7, increasing his rating to 1580. Another strong national showing for this rising player!
  • Surya, entered the event rated 1500, played solid chess throughout, scoring 4 out of 7 and boosting his rating to 1563. His growth continues to gain momentum!
  • Yugan, rated 1639 at the start, had one of the standout results with 5 out of 7, gaining valuable rating points and rising to 1660. A display of consistency and composure!
