Our Chess Gaja students continue to shine across prestigious chess events nationwide! This week, we celebrate the strategic brilliance and dedication of five rising stars who made their mark on the 64 squares.

Basking Ridge & Springfield, New Jersey

Ishanth competed in two intense tournaments over the weekend.

On May 31, 2025, he took part in the Diplomat Chess – Swiss organized by Diplomat Chess, where he scored 2.5 out of 4, raising his USCF rating from 615 to 700.

The very next day, June 1, 2025, he participated in the Wizards of the Mind Spring 2025, organized by Wizards of the Mind in Springfield, NJ, and earned 2 out of 4, increasing his rating further from 700 to 716. A fantastic weekend of back-to-back events!

Alpharetta, Georgia

Anhad showed determination at the GCC Friday Knight Face-Off 05-30 on May 30, 2025, organized by Georgia Chess Club, LLC. Scoring 1.5 out of 3, he managed a steady climb in his USCF rating, moving from 770 to 774. Great consistency on display!

Naperville, Illinois

Vidyut made a strong impression at the Elite Chess Quad 21 on June 1, 2025, organized by Elite Chess. With a sharp performance of 2 out of 3, he claimed 1st place and pushed his USCF rating from 885 to 897. Another trophy well earned!

Lincoln, Nebraska

Gurugrahan demonstrated exceptional form at the historic 50th Anniversary 1975 US Open, held from May 31 to June 1, 2025, and organized by SW Suburban Omaha Chess Association. Scoring an impressive 4 out of 5, he boosted his USCF rating from 1942 to 1990. Nearly touching the 2000 mark — a truly elite milestone!

Coppell, Texas

Yugan kept his momentum alive at the CCC Rapid May 31, organized by the Coppell Chess Club on May 31, 2025. Scoring 3 out of 4, he raised his rating from 1637 to 1649, showing both consistency and strength in rapid chess.
