Our Chess Gaja students have once again distinguished themselves with outstanding performances in various prestigious chess tournaments across the United States. Here is a detailed report of their achievements:
Illinois
Vidyut participated in the 2024 Caveman Beginner Open in Northbrook, Illinois, scoring 3 out of 5 points. His USCF rating increased from 646 to 648.
Abir competed in the 2024 US Junior Open in Northbrook, Illinois, scoring 1 out of 6 points. His USCF rating rose from 1172 to 1179.
Texas
Saathvik participated in the $3000 July 2024 Championship in Houston, Texas, scoring 3 out of 5 points. His USCF rating increased from 2037 to 2050.
California
Ruhan excelled at the 2024 Pacific SW Open in Irvine, California, scoring 4 out of 8 points and increasing his USCF rating from 2042 to 2065
Smaran also participated in the 2024 Gambito-1060 event in San Diego, scoring an impressive 3 out of 4 points and increasing his USCF rating from 1271 to 1323.
Pennsylvania
Ansh competed in the 52nd Annual World Open in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, scoring 4 out of 9 points and raising his USCF rating from 1833 to 1856.
Vaseegaran, Priyansh, and Anish also participated in the same event, each scoring 3.5 out of 9 points with slight adjustments in their USCF ratings.
